Escape from Tarkov is an ammo game wearing a gun game’s clothes. If your round does not go through their vest, your recoil control does not matter.
Check the chart before the flea flex
A budget rifle with penetrating ammo outplays a shiny suppressor stuffed with cheap steel. Look at armor class versus your round, not at the gun’s price tag.
Flesh ammo still has a job: legs, arms, and class 3 scavs. Do not bring it to a class 5 party.
Armor is a timer, not a superhero suit
Plates break. Face shields crack. Play like you are still mortal after the first burst.
Repair in hideout when it is cheaper than a new vest. Do not run a 2-durability Thorax into Labs and act surprised.
Weight changes the fight
Heavy kits slow extracts and loud stairs. If you cannot run to the extract with the bag, you built a museum piece.
